Japanese Akita Love: Kumo + Miwa + Towa

Have you ever seen three cuter Akitas? My friend Kristy invited us over to her house for a little hangout and play session with her three Japanese Akitas: Kumo, Miwa, and Towa. I had met Miwa and Towa when Kristy first got them, but this was my first time seeing all of them together! And it was our first time meeting Kumo, the eldest of the three, who was just a big, sweet bear; he even let us put a hat on him with no complaints. I’ve been wanting to take pictures of dogs (other than my own!) for a …

Skyla + Ryan | Maternity Session at UC Irvine

Skyla & Ryan Maternity Session

So excited to share the Orange County maternity session I did with the beautiful Skyla and Ryan! I’ve been friends with Skyla since my first year of college and I’m so happy to be a part of this special time in her life. She and her hubby make such an awesome pair and I am ecstatic that their little one will be a July baby like myself! This was my first time doing a maternity shoot but thankfully these two went along with every one of my ideas and we made it work! Skyla and Ryan first met at UC …

Hi there! I just posted about my Denver weekend trip and thought it would be helpful to include a separate blog post about my day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park! There’s a lot to do and to see in this beautiful national park, so it’s nice if you can spend more than one day here. But, if you’re only in town for the weekend like I was, then even spending a day in Rocky Mountain National Park is well worth it. 3 Days in Denver: First Time in Denver Things to Do + Itinerary

Hello everyone! So I’ve been looking over my pictures from my weekend trip to Colorado last year, and I’m really missing the crisp air and open land. We went to Denver on a whim: it was almost Labor Day weekend and we wanted to travel somewhere. But of course on a holiday weekend flight prices skyrocketed—except for flights to Denver. We had never been to Colorado, Denver sounded like a cool city, and we could cross Rocky Mountain National Park off our national park list—all for around $160 round trip! So here are Denver weekend trip ideas and a few …

Date Night at Marché Moderne

Marche Moderne Charcuterie Board

Good French food, matcha ice cream, and a surprise drive-in movie? Sounds like the perfect date night to me. The boyfriend asked me a week in advance to make myself available on Thursday night, but it wasn’t until the day of that I realized we weren’t just going to grab dinner or head to our nearest movie theater. “I have to wear what?” That was my response when he told me I should probably wear a dress. I hadn’t been told in advance that this date night he had planned wasn’t just one of our casual nights out, but actually …

Everything You Need to Know About the Museum of Ice Cream

Museum of Ice Cream

I’d been dying to go to the Museum of Ice Cream ever since pictures appeared on my Instagram feed earlier this year. I mean, a museum filled with Instagram-worthy photo backdrops and ice cream samples–what’s not to like? How to Get Museum of Ice Cream Tickets Even though the museum was clearly on every millennial’s must-go lists, I didn’t expect the hype to be that real. Once I saw my friends post pictures from the Museum of Ice Cream in Los Angeles, I knew it was time to check it out. Or not. Turns out all of the tickets for …

Big Bear Lake Day Trip

Big Bear Day Trip

Ever since our last trip here, Big Bear has become one of my favorite destinations for fall and winter fun. Pretty much everyone here in Southern California knows about Big Bear Lake, and has visited the area at some point or another. I actually had only gone once as a kid to see snow for the first time with my family. But my day trip to Big Bear with my college friends was definitely more magical. There wasn’t a flurry of snow like when I first visited, but there was still just enough leftover from the last snowfall for a …

Happy Birthday America

Happy Birthday America

I decided to take some Fourth of July themed photos to celebrate the friendships we’ve made in the country of red, white, and blue. The lighting in Quail Hill Preserve in Irvine, CA captured our spirit perfectly. Golden light cast halos around us and set the colors of our flag aflame. The tans, oranges, and golds of our skins glowed against the sea of yellow brush, while the flag swept over us in its fiery glory. Had it not been for our non-stop laughter and incessant complaining, we could have very well been as majestic as the Statue of Liberty. What mattered was …
